Mini Chef’s Cooking Program
Western Carolina University Parks and Recreation Management students are organizing and facilitating a cooking program at the Farmers Market on November 2nd located at the Community Table in Sylva. This program is targeting elementary aged children and will begin at 10:30 am. Mini Chef’s is a 2 hour cooking program designed to teach and attract youth about and to healthy eating. This will be done through interactive activities, a tour of the market, and a demonstration of an easy to make and interchangeable recipe. So come on out to the Farmer’s Market November 2nd, bring your children and help them experience and practice a healthy eating lifestyle.
The Winter Farmers Market is located at the Community Table – 23 Central Street adjacent to Poteet Park and runs every Saturday from 10 – 1.
