The Jackson County Farmers Market has moved into its winter location every Saturday from 10 am -1 pm. 23 Central Street – The Community Table in downtown Sylva – shares the parking lot with Poteet Park.
We had a full house last week, with plenty of veggies, meats and eggs, honey, crafts and more. In fact, we decided that the Market would make a great shopping destination for your Thanksgiving Dinner. You can find everything from sweet potatoes to pot holders! We have turkeys for order, honey for sweetening, eggs for baking, woodland creatures for table decorations, candles for ambiance, toys to keep the little ones occupied, plenty of greens, all of herbs and spices you will need, plenty of garlic, apple jack salsa appetizer, herbal remedies to keep you strong and alert, don’t forget the cooking aprons – one for you and one for your lil’ helper, and soap for washing hands and cleaning up. New to the market are tye-dyed socks, scarves and more to keep you warm.
Never underestimate the local growers and crafters!
And don’t forget, the market accepts SNAP benefits, as well as Credit and Debit cards. Swipe your card at the Information table and receive tokens in exchange.
