Candy Roasters

The Jackson County Farmers Market meets each Saturday from 9 – 12 at Bridge Park in downtown Sylva. This Saturday will be the last for mozzarella cheese, so be sure to stock up on this easy to freeze treat. The note of fall in the air has brought on some new items however. Jim Sellers has apples for sale and pictured here, Mike Stephens is back with his Candy Roasters. If you are wondering how to get a Candy Roaster to your car, the market has a wagon for you to use! This week also, kids can participate in our First Saturday Scavenger Hunt by stopping by the Information Booth.  A look ahead to September 19th we will be celebrating 15 years of the Market which began in September of 2000. Jen Pearson of Guadalupe will be using market ingredients for cooking demonstrations and sharing samples from 10 -12. Many vendors will be sharing a taste or demonstrating a craft. Come and celebrate with us.
