The Jackson County Farmers Market will hold its last outdoor market of the year this Saturday October 31. You can find the Market starting the following Saturday and each week until Christmas at the Community Table on Central Avenue next to the pool and Poteet Park from 10:00- 1:00.
This Saturday we are encouraging customers and vendors to come to the market in costume and we will have a few Halloween activities for everyone to enjoy. Backwoods Bakery will be there with their Wood Fired Pizza Oven. From Farm to Oven! In addition we will be making hats and small drums for our Annual Hat Parade which marks the end of the outdoor season and the beginning of the indoor Market. The parade will take place around 11:30. We are pleased to announce that the Jackson County Arts Council has granted us another year of funding for our Family Art at the Market program which makes the parade and many other art projects available to kids most Saturdays from 10 – 12.
